Welcome to Top 10 Tuesday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, and this week’s challenge is about books on my spring 2023 to-read list!
I know I give this disclaimer every time, but I really am terrible at sticking to these! For that reason, I’m including a few picks that I’m reading for a book club or for work so that I at least have a few that I’m reasonably confident I can accomplish in the next few months. But the rest of them are ones that I’m really hoping to read even without having a “reason” to read them. I don’t have a book club or work deadline motivating me, but I did choose the remaining books to go with AAPI Heritage Month and Pride Month (which goes into summer a little bit), so they’re somewhat time-sensitive (so that should help with motivation even if things get busy!). Without further ado, here are the top ten books on my spring TBR!

1. When Two Feathers Fell From the Sky by Margaret Verble

2. So Big by Edna Ferber

3. Paola Santiago and the River of Tears by Tehlor Kay Mejia

4. Nacer bailando by Alma Flor Ada and Gabriel M. Zubizarreta

5. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

6. Tappin’ at the Apollo: The African American Female Tap Dance Duo Salt and Pepper by Cheryl M. Willis

7. Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto

8. A Scatter of Light by Malinda Lo

9. Red, White & Royal Blue by Kate McQuiston

10. A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers

Have you read any of these books? What would your top ten be?
Let me know in the comments!
I was disappointed in SO BIG. It surprises me that it won the Pulitzer. It does give you a peek at what life was like back in the 20s.

I’ve had several people recommend reading Becky Chambers so that one is on my TBR also. Hope we both enjoy it!

#5 was a fun read. I read it and then had my daughter read it. We both liked it. I hope you do as well. It’s a good time to read it with a movie forthcoming.

Red, White & Royal Blue sounds like a good read – I’ve heard quite a few things about it, all good.
My TTT where I talk about popular books I haven’t read yet.

Just be warned once you read The Lightning Thief, you’ll want to read the rest of the series and the next two after that. Or was that just me? Nope, it couldn’t have been just me! LOL! I hope you enjoy reading all of these.
