Top 5 Saturday: Books with Snow on the Cover

Welcome to Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge focuses on books with a snow on the cover.

I really struggled again this week! Apparently I don’t read too many snowy, wintery, cozy books. For this list, I managed to come up with a list of books for adults and for children that feature snow in some way on the cover (some of which I’ve read, and some of which I haven’t). Without further ado, here are my top five choices (in no particular order)!

Top 5 Saturday: Books with a Family Relationship in the Title

Welcome to Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge focuses on books with a family relationship in the title.

I was actually surprised by how much I struggled with this one! It seems pretty straightforward, but it turns out that I haven’t read many books (nor do I have many unread ones on my shelf) that reference family relationships in their titles. However, the ones that I managed to come up with are either ones that I’ve really enjoyed, or ones that I am really looking forward to reading! Here are my top five (in no particular order)!

Top 5 Saturday: Books with a Unique Format

Welcome to Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge focuses on books with a unique format.

I had a lot of fun with this one! I enjoy finding books to read that are out of my comfort zone, and one way I do that is by finding books to read with a format that is “atypical” for me. For this post, I decided to sort it by format rather than by specific book, as there were several categories for which I was able to think of multiple examples. So here we go! Here are my top five categories of unique formats for books (in no particular order)!

Top 5 Saturday: Books with Royalty in the Title

Welcome to Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge focuses on books with royalty in the title.

I’ve been struggling with these lately! I feel like these prompts are often geared more toward readers of fantasy, which is great! But I just don’t read a lot of that genre, so I often have a hard time coming up with these. However, I did manage to come up with five! These are a mix of books I’ve read and books that are on my TBR list. In no particular order, here are my top five books with royalty in the title!

Top 5 Saturday: Books with Weapons on the Cover

Welcome to Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge focuses on books with weapons on the cover.

Honestly, I really struggled with the prompt for this week. The kinds of books I read don’t typically feature weapons, and if I were to be shopping for books and I saw a weapon on the cover, that would actually be a turn-off for me and I would be less likely to add it to my cart. However, I managed to come up with a list that includes some books I’ve read and some on my TBR that feature weapons in some way on their covers. Here is my top five (in no particular order)!

Top 5 Saturday: Books About Competition

Welcome to Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge focuses on books about competition.

I don’t read a lot of sports books, but I actually managed to think of several books I’ve read that revolve around competition in some way! Very few of them actually have to do with sports, so it was fun to think of other ways to approach this prompt. Here are the five books I came up with…

Top 5 Saturday: Books with Metal in the Title

Welcome to my first Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge is about books with metal in the title.

I actually struggled to make my list for this week’s theme! Ends up, I haven’t read that many books with a metal in the title (nor do I have many in my TBR piles or lists). I feel like this is something that is more common in fantasy book titles, and I just don’t read a lot of fantasy. Regardless, I managed to come up with a list that includes some books I’ve read, books I own but haven’t read yet, and books I don’t own but would like to read at some point. Without further ado, here are my top 5 books with metal in the title…

Top 5 Saturday: Books with an Animal on the Cover

Welcome to my first Top 5 Saturday! This is a weekly challenge hosted by Devouring Books, and this week’s challenge is about books with an animal on the cover.

In order to make my list, I first made a different list of all the books I’ve read and liked that have animals on the cover. And then I narrowed it down to my top five based on how much I like the story as well as the cover. Here’s my list…
